01 — The community
ISO 45001 contractors invest in leadership, systems, people and prevention, yet conventional market pricing may give that work limited recognition beyond size and historical loss experience. SafeBuild brings this community together to make verified safety leadership visible and create pathways to peer value, eligible rewards and aligned risk participation.

Practical answers for safety-led construction companies exploring recognition, peer value, eligible rewards and risk participation.
Choco SafeBuild is a private membership, technology and risk-management platform for qualified U.S. developers and general contractors. It uses ISO 45001 as a foundation for verified safety leadership, trusted risk intelligence, prevention and potential member programs.
Safety-led contractors may receive limited recognition for the systems, leadership and prevention investments behind ISO 45001, while conventional market pricing often emphasizes size, historical losses and coverage structure. SafeBuild exists to make verified safety performance more visible and connect it to peer learning, prevention and eligible member programs.
SafeBuild combines verified member identity, agreed risk information, confidential benchmarking, prevention support and access to eligible community or risk programs. This creates a structured way for members to make their safety leadership visible and keep improving it.
The community is designed for qualified U.S. developers, general contractors and developer-builders that treat occupational health and safety as a competitive advantage. Admission is subject to a membership assessment.
Yes. Certified companies may apply for verified membership, while companies actively working toward ISO 45001 may enter as candidates and follow a readiness, roadmap and independent certification journey.
Members may gain verified recognition, peer learning, confidential benchmarking, prevention resources and access to eligible community rewards or approved risk programs. Each benefit has its own eligibility requirements, documentation, approvals and terms.
Reliable evidence and continuous prevention can strengthen risk conversations, reduce disruption and improve resilience. Depending on eligibility and performance, members may access community rewards, approved insurance benefits or risk-participation opportunities under separate program terms.
SafeBuild begins with membership, technology and risk management. Where approved insurance products are available, they are offered through appropriately licensed insurance entities and remain subject to underwriting, state availability, policy terms and applicable law.
SafeBuild uses ISO 45001 as a shared occupational health and safety management-system foundation. Certification is granted by independent accredited bodies; SafeBuild operates independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Organization for Standardization.
Choco SafeBuild is designing a sector-specific captive for leading construction companies around a shared ISO 45001 safety foundation, verified risk information and continuous prevention. The program is currently in formation and remains subject to regulatory, insurance, reinsurance, domicile, governance and eligibility requirements.
