One mission. Two distinct organizations.
The Safe Builders Alliance and Choco Insurance work together to help safety-led contractors turn stronger prevention, responsible data and collective purchasing power into practical business value.
The Safe Builders Alliance
The member organization, community and governance platform advancing safety, collaboration and shared value for contractors.
Choco Insurance
The operating partner coordinating Alliance administration, insurance services and economic-benefit programs.
Choco supports and manages the Alliance; Choco does not own it. The Alliance remains a contractor-owned organization serving contractor interests.
02
What belongs to the Alliance
The Safe Builders Alliance is the home of the member community. Its contractor owners and member governance are responsible for the Alliance's purpose and direction, including:
- the Alliance mission, membership identity and contractor community;
- member eligibility, governance and representation;
- safety priorities, peer collaboration and prevention initiatives;
- member expectations, ethics and responsible-data principles; and
- the long-term value the Alliance creates for its contractor members.

What Choco manages and provides
Choco serves as the Alliance manager and supports the delivery of its economic and insurance-related member value. Depending on the applicable program and agreement, Choco's role may include:
- day-to-day Alliance administration and program operations;
- designing, sourcing and administering member-benefit opportunities;
- coordinating insurance, risk-management and potential risk-financing pathways;
- working with brokers, carriers, underwriters, advisers and other qualified providers; and
- communicating program terms, eligibility requirements, costs and limitations.
Insurance products and regulated services, where available, are offered only through appropriately licensed entities. Availability is subject to underwriting, carrier approval, applicable law and the terms of the relevant policy or program.
04
Structural separation by design
The relationship is designed to combine contractor ownership with professional management while keeping each organization's role clear.
The Alliance belongs to contractors. Choco is a contracted manager and service provider.
Alliance direction and member interests remain within the Alliance's governance structure.
Alliance membership does not itself guarantee or require the purchase of an insurance product.
Information is used and shared only under applicable agreements, permissions, privacy notices and legal requirements.
05
Transparency comes first
Choco's management role and financial interests should be visible wherever they are relevant. Applicable agreements and transaction documents identify the participating entity, the service being provided, material eligibility conditions, fees or compensation, and important limitations.
Neither Alliance membership nor safety certification guarantees insurance coverage, preferred pricing, dividends, underwriting profit, cashback or any other financial result. Each opportunity is evaluated under its own legal, actuarial, commercial and regulatory requirements.
This page is a plain-language overview. The Alliance's governing documents and the applicable service, benefit or insurance agreements control if there is any inconsistency.
